About

Hey there! I’m Sunny, proud Asian American and boba connoisseur. I grew up in the 626 area of southern California, where I had my first taste of the classic milk tea boba at our local 99 Ranch Market. That first sip had me hooked, and so began our long-term relationship.

I attended Rice University with the typical Asian kid aspiration to become a doctor. It took me four years of college, a semester abroad in London, and the MCAT to realize the path wasn’t meant for me. After my graduation in 2019, I had a bachelor’s degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology—and no job. I moved back home. It took me six months (lot’s of tears, boba, and rejections) before I finally received a few job offers. I am now working full-time as a digital sales specialist for a Fortune 100 company.

This blog is an outlet for my creative passions and experiences. I love to talk food (boba, of course), post-grad blues, career, travel, and so much more. I’m still adjusting to what people call “adult life,” and I’d like to share what I’ve learned with other young women. There’s a lot of grey in these post-grad shenanigans, but there is also so much color.

Spark joy & create simplicity.
